Tom was an avid sportsman enjoying fishing and hunting during all open seasons in Maine. Those who knew Tom were well aware of his love for the outdoors. Since college Tom has worked in Forestry Management in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Texas, and Mississippi. After graduating from Old Town High School in 1982, Tom went to the University of Maine where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management. Tom grew up in Milford with his parents and five siblings. Though this brings great sorrow, the family is comforted in knowing that Tom was greeted at the gates of heaven by his Lord Jesus Christ father and mother, Philip and Geraldine (Oakes) Pelletier older sister, Carol Ann (Pelletier) Casey and younger brother, Shawn Pelletier. Greeley had worked for various Penobscot County police departments over his 32-year career, including Veazie, Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, Brewer and Holden. Greeley showed that caring for his community in several ways, including the 25 Days of Kindness that he began with a few hundred dollars and grew it to more than $25,000 last year, according to Holden police. “He truly understood community policing and cared deeply for the citizens of the town of Holden along with the people he worked with,” the police department said.
